Installation. Install multiple sensors where corrosion monitoring is needed on your vessel. The sensors are compact, weatherproof, and can be placed almost anywhere.

Network. Devices automatically connect wirelessly and establish an ad-hoc network. Think of this network as a force field of protection surrounding your vessel.

Communication. The sensor closest to the nearest wireless access point automatically connects to it. This connection becomes the bridge that transmits data from all other sensors.

Detection. All devices measure the deformation of magnetic fields, which indicates increased corrosion. The network communicates updates instantly through the vessel’s management system.

Updates. Log in to our platform online to view the current status and data from all devices. This platform allows real-time updates on your vessel.

Alerts. Receive alerts if corrosion levels exceed a pre-set threshold. You control the threshold and manage the alerts.

WHAT'S INSIDE?

btry.png

Powered by Kinetic Energy. Rubigo sensors are powered by state-of-the-art electromagnetic micro-generators that utilize the motion of the waves to produce energy. Luxury watchmakers initially developed this innovative solution to power wristwatches. The kinetic element provides a steady supply of energy needed for the sensor to measure corrosion levels and network with other sensors and the wireless access point. This solution eliminates the ongoing maintenance need and downtime associated with replacing batteries.

Wireless Ad-Hoc Network Technology allows Rubigo Sensors to establish a network between themselves and connect to the wireless access point through the sensor that is closest to it for optimal performance. This ensures that all sensors are connected and sending data through at least one other node. The ability to maintain communication channels with multiple sensors reduces the impact a sensor failure will have on the ad-hoc network by keeping other sensors connected to the onboard access point.

Easy to Mount. Some corrosion analysis methods involve physical probing where a needle probe is used to break the surface of the steel, which in itself may lead to corrosion later on. Rubigo utilizes contactless corrosion monitoring technology that does not impact the integrity of the steel being tested. Furthermore, our mounting method is also harmless to the steel it is mounted on

Built-in Wireless Network. All Rubigo sensors wirelessly connect automatically and establish an ad-hoc network. The sensor closest to a wireless access point on the vessel connects to it and transmits data collected from all sensors at scheduled intervals to our cloud-based management platform.

Strong Body. Rubigo sensors are contained in a rugged, waterproof body that withstands high temperatures and pressure, and ongoing exposure and submersion in saltwater. The sensors are compact, lightweight, and virtually indestructible under normal operating conditions, such as within a vessel's bilge.

BENEFITS

Wireless
Fully wireless network connection

Smart-Monitoring

Monitoring eliminates the need for manual inspection of the vessel for corrosion.

Customizable

Fits any vessel with built-in pre-sets

Autonomous
Separate from the vessel’s power systems

Real-Time

Provides near real-time, on-demand monitoring of a vessel’s critical steel elements and overall corrosion level.

Advanced
Monitors corrosion levels that are often hidden from the naked eye — internal corrosion of steel elements from both sides of the steel.

Self-Charging

Uses the vessel’s motion to generate power

Alerts

Notifies when corrosion reaches a

certain set threshold that the customer controls.

Integration
Rubigo integrates seamlessly with the vessel's management system using the provided API and the Rubigo corrosion control module.

EASY TO USE

  1. Dashboard mode monitors overall corrosion levels across the entire vessel. This mode allows you to view real-time updates that are continually refreshed.

  2. View data and trends from individual sensors. This view lets you focus on individual areas of the vessel as often as you need.

  3. Set maximum corrosion threshold alarms to send alerts. You control the thresholds and alerts.
